What is Potentiometer?
A potentiometer is a 3-terminal resistor with an adjustable middle terminal (known as a wiper) that allows you to vary the resistance between two terminals.
Important Components of a Potentiometer
2 fixed terminals (one and three): These are coupled to a resistive component.
1 adjustable terminal (Wiper): This is the moveable section that slides along the resistive element to change the resistance ratio between terminals 1 - Wiper and Wiper - 3.
