Difference between Ohm’s Law and Joule’s Law
Ohm’s Law Vs Joule’s Law
Ohm’s Law states that the electric current flowing through a conductor is directly proportional to the voltage applied across it which is provided the temperature remains constant. It defines the fundamental relationship between voltage, current and resistance in an electrical circuit.
Joule’s Law states that the heat energy generated in a conductor is directly proportional to the square of the current, the electrical resistance and the time the current flows. It explains how electrical energy is transformed into thermal energy (heat) when passing through a resistor.
