Explain why delta to star connection is used in the transformer sending end
If you talk about the distribution transformer, the sending end will be a star connection. Because we have to give the meter connection to consumers then we need one neutral wire and one phase wire ( Single phase meter).
And at receiving end, it is not necessary that we use only delta connection. We can use a star connection at receiving end.
if you have no neutral wire at this end you will go to delta connection.
Star connection in receiving end is only required because we need 1Phase electrical supply and we can’t give it without neutral wire, so in distribution system we need star connection at receiving end
