Explain the wet and dry calibration procedure of displacer type level transmitter
Wet calibration means online by water or by process liquid and dry calibration means by using weight. First of all, isolate the level troll from the process then fill the chamber with the same fluid this is wet calibration. if wet calibration is not possible then we can do dry calibration Dry calibration 1st find the displacer. volume by 3.14×r2×height, volume×fluid density. Displacer will lose certain weight at 100% level. Now put the displacer weight on the torque tube & set zero then minus the weight loss from the displacer. actual weight & put this weight on torque tube & set span. Then check linearity. Interface level calibration also can be done by this procedure.
