Advantage of cascade control loop

Two major advantages.

  1. To overcome slow response on the primary process, the secondary loop will minimize it.

  2. To minimize the overshoot or to activate valve action due to the changes of the primary process, or we can say to stabilize the manipulated variable which may course the next process.
