What is the limit of counter in PLC?

It is common practice for the program to display the current (or) “accumulated” value for us when it is operating on the PLC.

This allows us to view the current count value. Counting ranges that are typically supported by counters include 0 to 9999, -32,768 to +32,767, and 0 to 65535.

It is important to take note that the overflow status indicates that the counter has encountered the logical limit of 32767 and has been forced to wrap back to value of -32768.
