When referred to utility to utility power connections,are often schematic in nature and carry less details about location / routing and details are expected to be decided during construction
When referred to internal wiring diagrams of a panel are comprehensive diagrams providing details of each electrical circuit systems showing all the connectors,wiring,terminal boards,signal connections between the devices and electrical or electronic components of the circuit.
They also identify the wires by wire numbers or color coding.Wiring diagrams are necessary to troubleshoot and fix electrical or electronic circuits.
Cabling Drawings
These are usually more detailed and have to be exactly followed by construction crew and therefor have to be complete and self contained in all respects
