What is the difference between change over and isolator switch

Explain how an isolator switch is different from a change over switch

Change over switch controls more than one supply. Either it will be an automatic or manual switch.

The isolator switch controls only one supply at a time to make it on or off. But remember, the change over switch shall always be 4 pole switch to cut neutral in a 3 phase system, while an isolator switch shall be 3 pole switch only. Change over switch is to change from one source of supply to another, isolator switch is to isolate so that there will be no passage of electricity
