The radar level transmitter in furnace oil tank shows error ( using this for tank mass measurement in KG mass varies continuously without any loading and unloading)when the material temperature varies.
How to overcome this. should i go for DP level transmitter…during operation the temperature is maintained between 35 to 65 degree Celsius
Check the name plate & see the temperature, if oil temperature high then name plate temperature, so possible variation. Clean the metal part and antenna. Power reset.
Your mass value is inferred by a calculation. You are not weighing the fuel which would give you a true mass value; you’re measuring level and multiplying by some factor and giving it the title “mass”.
Of course the mass value changes when the level changes; level is the base measured value and there’s just a multiplying factor involved. The common factor is in the math ! !
