While testing the tda 2009 it gets terribly hot and It there is no sound…my guess is a faulty tda2009. Do I need to get another one
Ensure that both the pad and lead are hot enough for the solder to flow. It appears most of the connections to IC are incorrect.
As you heat the lead and pad apply the solder and as it flows to both the pad and lead draw the iron up along the lead. This action will produce a nice cone of solder. This will also help reduce the solder bridging problem. It appears there is at least one solder bridge. These ICs are not very forgiving. An adequate heat sink is a must
