What could be the problem when I switch on my compressor it runs then the breaker trips
-
The circuit breaker may not have been the right type to manage your load. You actually need a class D breaker if you have the right circuit breaker rating.
-
If all these are in place, then check the compressor may have fault.
-
You may also be experiencing a drop in voltage that makes the current rise above CB rating hence trip on the compressor.
-
Check if you are having partial contacts or electrical trees on your cable insulation & the creep distance between your cable terminals are right.
-
Service your compressor
