What could be the problem when I switch on my compressor it runs then the breaker trips

  1. The circuit breaker may not have been the right type to manage your load. You actually need a class D breaker if you have the right circuit breaker rating.

  2. If all these are in place, then check the compressor may have fault.

  3. You may also be experiencing a drop in voltage that makes the current rise above CB rating hence trip on the compressor.

  4. Check if you are having partial contacts or electrical trees on your cable insulation & the creep distance between your cable terminals are right.

  5. Service your compressor
