MOV valve is not shown online in the DCS and what is the reason for this

I have operated the MOV valve open and close (by local) and also send feedback open close. But in the DCS it shows offline and what is the reason for this.

There are many possibilities for this

  • The address in the MOV must be the same as in the DCS
  • It could be because of the error in the communication card
  • Check the offline /normal cable where it is connected in the MOV, at normal condition if it shows offline means, it is connected wrongly, for normal contact between the cable must be open, for offline the contact must be close, I hope you are now getting close contact for normal condition, connect the cable in terminal 39 and 40 and check the contact
  • You should check the parameters and check if anything needs to be changed
