“Log size is full. Log type: ESM” error messages

The following error message pops up on the screen when the server is re-booted: “Log size is full. Log type: ESM.” The source of the message is Server Administrator and the Category is Instrumentation Service.

Use the following steps to clear the ESM log: 1— Access the Dell OpenManage Server Administrator by selecting: Start --> Programs --> Dell OpenManage Applications --> Server Administrator --> Server Administrator 2— Select the ‘Logs’ tab 3— Select the ‘Clear Log’ button
