Troubleshoot a crane starter motor fault:
Step-1: Look for loose connections, burn marks, or broken components.
Step-2: Use a multimeter to check incoming voltage and phase availability.
Step-3: Check for blown fuses or tripped breakers in the starting panel.
Step-4: Examine contactor contacts for wear and carbon accumulation.
Step-5: Reset if tripped & check for overload circumstances.
Step-6: Test the continuity of the control voltage, pushbuttons, and auxiliary contacts.
Step-7: Check insulating resistance, winding continuity & earth faults.
