Install the Compensator

Step-1: Screw the capacitor bank onto the bus-bar section of the main/local distribution board or any bus-bar control section using proper sized cables.

Step-2: Mount suitable protection devices including the contactors, fuses and the discharge resistors so as to protect the capacitors.

Step-3: So connect the capacitor bank to power factor regulator for its automatic operation. Give the regulator voltage signals and current signals.

Step-4: Connect as per the connection diagram do the wiring of circuits like control circuits of contactors and so on.

Step-5: Compensate the system by carrying out the tests of the capacitor bank in operation and confirming variation in the power factor.

With the help of these instructions, installation of a kVAr compensator will allow for the correction of the power factor and the further stabilization of the electricity supply.
