Perform a Backup of both Servers. • Perform a synch (assume ServerA is primary, ServerB is backup) • Break synch, drop ServerB down to “Database Only” • Run “sysbld –preserve –full” on ServerB • When prompted, type Y and Enter to confirm rebuilding the database. • Do you want to rebuild EVERYTHING ? (Y/N) N • Select N to all the initial questions until you see • Do you wish to initialise displays ? (Y/N) Y (The rest of the questions are N) • Then you will see:
- There are XXX displays configured. Enter required number of displays to leave unchanged> Change to the desired number.
- There are XXX shapes configured. Enter required number of displays to leave unchanged> ENTER to leave the same number of Shapes. • Restart ServerB to “System Running (Backup)” • DO NOT SYNCH • Perform manual failover (ServerB now primary, ServerA now backup) • Perform a synchronization (ServerB still primary) • Perform manual failover (ServerA now primary, ServerB now backup) • Perform a synchronization (ServerA will be again the primary)
