Explain how to configure the DP flow meter in FF
check the transmitter range and DCS range, square root, first you see calibration datasheet, square & Linear type, then you set up and connect Hart and check the tag number, range input-output, after apply value transmitter range showing transmitter display and DCS output range square root, apply 25%, output showing 50.5%, you give 50% and DCS could show 70.7%, you give 75%, display and DCS could show 86.6%, you give 100%, display and DCS could show 100%.
For Foundation Fieldbus (FF), the Analog input block in the transducer group has the settings for pressure and flow.
L_Type is set to “Indirect” if the transmitter implements the square root function; Direct if the output is pressure, not flow.
XD_SCALE is the pressure range corresponding to 0-100% flow rate, according to the primary flow element sizing sheet. XD_SCALE is in units of percent.
OUT_SCALE is flow rate units and scaling LOW_CUT is low flow cut-off
OUT is the scaled flow output.
