What is Kilowatt (kW)?
A kilowatt is a unit of power that measures the rate at which energy is consumed or generated.
It calculates the real work performed or energy converted each second.
A kilowatt is equal to 1,000 watts and is often used to measure the power output of machinery, motors, appliances & electrical systems.
Ex: 2 kW heater uses 2 kilojoules of energy each second.
What is Ampere (A)?
An ampere, or “amp,” is a unit of electric current. It measures the movement of an electric charge (electrons) across a conductor. One ampere represents one coulomb of charge flowing per second in a circuit.
Amps show the current carrying capacity of cables, breakers & devices ensuring that they operate safely and without overheating.
