i want to connect one transducer having current output 4-20 ma, over two same analog input cards but on different locations
choices
-
Buy a 4-20mA splitter than isolates its input from its outputs (to my knowledge, all commercial splitters are so isolated).

If you’re lucky and there’s little common mode ground voltage between the analog cards (and the source), then run the 4-20mA through each of the analog inputs in series. If you’re not lucky, the resulting ground loop will produce a signal offset, drive the signal offscale, or in the worst case, electrically damage the inputs.
