Baseband: Baseband uses digital signalling over a single channel Broadband:It uses analog signalling and a range of frequencies

Few difference between **Broadband** and **Baseband**

**[Broadband](http://www.broadcast-technology.com/contractors):** 1.Transmission of data is unidirectional. 2.The signal are sent on multiple frequencies and allow all the signals simultaneously in broadband transmission. 3.Frequency division multiplexing is possible. 4.Signal traveling distance is too long.

**Baseband:** 1.Frequency division multiplexing is not possible. 2.Entire bandwidth of the cable is consumed by a single signal in baseband transmission. 3.Short distance signal traveling. 4.Baseband is bi-directional transmission.
