AS-Interface stands for Actuator Sensor Interface.

AS-I is an industrial networking protocol used in PLC ,DCS and other PC based automation system.’

A single cable is enough to connect I/O modules from any manufacturer.

AS Interface is alternative to the hard wiring of field device.

AS interface is an open protocol.More than 300 plc vendors supports AS interface.

Highlights of AS Interface- Simple network to reduce wiring by 90%. First certified safety and standard i/o solution Connections to all important PLCs Fast and deterministic

AS interface basics- Two wire power and data network. Topology free, allowing any cable paths. Network segment can have 100m cable. Multiple segments can be connected. Work with nearly all PLCs.
