## PCC Panel (Power Control Center)

The heart of main power distribution in any plant or facility.

**Function:** Receives incoming main supply directly from the transformer or DG set and distributes high power through feeders to various sub-panels (including MCCs).

**Key Components:** Main **[Air Circuit Breakers (ACB),](https://forumelectrical.com/acb-size-calculator/)** Busbar systems, Protection Relays, and Energy Meters.

**Core Role:** Power Distribution & Feeder Management.

## MCC Panel (Motor Control Center)

The nerve center for industrial motor operation.

**Function:** Receives power from the PCC panel to control, run, and protect industrial electric motors.

**Key Components:** Contactors, Overload Relays, Motor Protection Circuit Breakers (MPCB), and Variable Frequency Drives (VFD).

**Core Role:** Motor Control (Start, Stop, Speed Regulation & Protection).

- PCC = Distributes Power
- MCC = Operates Motors

Seperate panels ensure higher reliability, safe fault isolation, easier maintenance, and better plant safety.
